Roles & Responsibilities

The Centre for Preparatory Studies (CPS) at Dhofar University invites applications for an Instructor/Lecturer position in the Math Unit within the Foundation Program.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Omani Candidates

Omani applicants to teach Mathematics in the Foundation Program must meet one of the following sets of qualifications:

Option 1:

  • A full-time MA in Education with specialization in Mathematics, with a minimum GPA of 3.0; and
  • At least two years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level after completion of the MA.

OR

Option 2:

  • A full-time MA in Mathematics with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and a BA in Mathematics; and
  • At least three years of teaching experience at the post-basic level after completion of the MA.

  • Non-Omani Candidates

Non-Omani applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A full-time MA and BA in Mathematics, with a minimum GPA of 3.2; and
  • At least three years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level after completion of the MA.

Language Requirement

All candidates Omani and non-Omani must demonstrate a good command of the English language, with a minimum IELTS Academic Band score of 6.0. Candidates who do not meet the above qualifications will not be considered.
