Your Role as Head of Commerce

As a key member of our academic leadership team, you will:

Lead, manage, and inspire the Commerce Department to deliver engaging and rigorous teaching across Business, Economics, and Accounting

Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement in line with the school s strategic goals

Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and examination performance

Mentor and support teachers to enhance instructional quality and professional growth

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Work closely with senior leadership to promote academic excellence and student engagement in the commercial disciplines

What We re Looking For

We are seeking a motivated and visionary educator who is:

British-trained and holds QTS/PGCE or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Experienced in teaching Business, Economics, and/or Accounting within the National Curriculum of England (KS4 KS5)

Has a minimum of six years of teaching experience, including at least three years in a leadership or coordination role

Demonstrates strong departmental outcomes and innovative curriculum leadership

A collaborative leader with excellent communication and mentoring skills

Committed to excellence, professional growth, and developing a forward-thinking Commerce programme
