Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full awareness and compliance with contract documents, approved methods, and maintenance programs
- Inspect operation, maintenance, and construction activities including temporary works to verify compliance with specifications and contract requirements
- Provide guidance on construction and electromechanical matters to contractors and site teams
- Monitor quality of materials, installations, and workmanship for electromechanical systems
- Maintain accurate inspection records, site diaries, and documentation of work executed, approved, or rejected
- Measure or assist in measurement of completed works when required by assistant resident engineers or resident engineers
- Assist with preparation of as-built drawings and inspection of completed electromechanical works
- Prepare snag lists and support handover to the operating authority
- Coordinate daily with contractor engineers and foremen to ensure proper execution of works
- Coordinate with materials inspectors for sampling, testing, and quality assurance of completed or suspect materials
- Coordinate with surveyors to verify line and grade conformity where applicable
- Interface with the public and adjacent stakeholders to mitigate construction impacts
- Report non-compliance, poor workmanship, or questionable methods to assistant resident engineers or resident engineers
Desired Candidate Profile
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 4 years of experience on infrastructure projects, particularly in operation and maintenance of electromechanical assets
- Experience with lighting systems, fountains, pumping stations, and landscape-related electromechanical installations
- UAE experience is mandatory
- UAE equivalency certificate is mandatory
- Strong understanding of operation and maintenance inspection practices
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic communication skills are an advantage
