Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using advanced testing equipment, providing efficient solutions to minimize downtime in production.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to design and implement electrical systems for new machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical problems effectively.
  • Calibrate and adjust control systems for machinery to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices, sharing knowledge on best practices and safety protocols.
  • Upgrade existing electrical installations to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
  • Participate in emergency response teams to address electrical failures and ensure rapid recovery of operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference for a technical degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as National Electrical Code (NEC) certification or Journeyman Electrician license are highly preferred.
  • Preferably, candidates should have experience in manufacturing, oil and gas, or similar industrial environments.
  • A proven track record of at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical work, showcasing expertise in troubleshooting.
