Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement IAM policies, roles, and permission boundaries to enforce least privilege access.
  • Manage user identities, federated access (SSO/SAML), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Conduct regular audits of IAM roles, policies, and access logs to ensure compliance and security.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to integrate IAM best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate IAM provisioning and de-provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Monitor and respond to IAM-related security alerts and incidents.
  • Provide guidance on AWS Organizations, SCPs (Service Control Policies), and cross-account access strategies.
  • Stay updated with AWS security services and recommend improvements to the IAM architecture.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS IAM and related AWS security services.
  • Strong understanding of IAM policy syntax (JSON), trust relationships, and policy evaluation logic.
  • Experience with federated identity providers (e.g., Azure AD, Okta, Ping Identity).
  • Familiarity with AWS Config, CloudTrail, and Security Hub for auditing and compliance.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • AWS Certified Security – Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Azure Active Directory (AAD) / Microsoft Entra ID administration
  • Identity lifecycle management (provisioning, deprovisioning, synchronization)
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) configuration and management
  • Conditional Access Policies setup and optimization
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) implementation and troubleshooting
  • Privileged Identity Management (PIM) configuration
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) setup for SaaS and on-premises applications
  • Zero Trust architecture principles and implementation
  • Security baselines and governance policies
