Roles & Responsibilities

A respected international school in Bahrain is seeking an experienced and committed IB Diploma Programme (DP) Coordinator to join their leadership team starting August 2026. The school offers the full IB curriculum and is committed to delivering high-quality, inquiry-based education in a diverse and inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and delivery of the IB DP, supporting staff, students, and the wider school community to maintain high academic and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the implementation of the IB Diploma Programme

  • Support teachers with planning, assessment, and IB standards compliance

  • Organise and oversee the IB DP calendar, including internal assessments and external examinations

  • Liaise with the IB organisation and ensure all documentation and reporting is up to date

  • Support professional development across the DP team

  • Collaborate with leadership on whole-school initiatives and strategic planning

Desired Candidate Profile

Fully qualified teacher with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent)

  • Proven experience teaching within the IB curriculum, preferably in the Diploma Programme
  • Prior experience in a DP Coordinator or similar leadership role is highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Commitment to the IB philosophy and international education
