HVAC Design Engineer

We are seeking a Design Engineer – HVAC with strong expertise in designing and developing HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and heat exchangers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in load calculations, ducting, piping layouts, hydraulic calculations, and equipment selection using industry-standard tools. This role requires close coordination with project managers, review of shop drawings, and providing technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, plan, and develop HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, chillers, and cooling towers.

· Perform load calculations, ducting, piping layouts, and equipment selection using industry-standard software.

· Design and select chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, and related equipment based on project requirements.

· Prepare hydraulic calculations, piping schematics, and layouts for chilled water and condenser water systems.

· Coordinate directly with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements, verify design details and recommend modifications as needed according to company standards and best practices

· Provide support to engineering team as needed by creating digital models within deadlines and utilising multiple methods to ensure deliverables include all relevant design details

· Review and approve shop drawings, equipment selections, and material submittals from contractors.

· Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, chiller, and cooling tower systems.

· Assist in ongoing project to standardise and unify design document standards by participating in meetings and preparing presentation materials as necessary

· Position instructions and comments onto drawings.

· Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.

· Stay updated on new HVAC, chiller, and cooling tower technologies, equipment, and industry practices.
