Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in alignment with local and international standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across agricultural, manufacturing, and distribution operations to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurrence.
- Deliver HSE training programs and workshops to employees at all levels, fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and certification requirements, including Fair Trade, Naturland, Biosuisse, JAS, and NOP standards.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions, and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE best practices into daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and manage the use, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials to minimize environmental impact.
- Stay updated on emerging HSE trends, technologies, and regulations to proactively enhance workplace safety and sustainability.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of proven experience in an HSE role within agricultural, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
- Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to management.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HSE management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in HSE practices.
