Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer with a strong background in the construction sector within the UAE. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conduct risk assessments, and implement safety policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations (DCD, DM, ADM, etc.) and company safety policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
  • Implement and monitor safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training for workers and subcontractors.
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices on-site.
  • Maintain HSE documentation, including permits, inspections, and incident reports.
  • Liaise with contractors, clients, and government authorities on HSE matters.
  • Monitor waste management and environmental compliance.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across the project.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • 2 years of UAE-based HSE experience in construction (infrastructure, or MEP projects preferred).
  • Relevant certifications (NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
  • UAE driving license is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of local HSE laws and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
  • Immediate joiners preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
  • Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and OSHAD frameworks.
