Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Supervise all matters pertaining to Safety of employees and Contractors.

Adhere to the Company s Safety policies at all times and immediately investigate violations and ensure necessary steps are taken to stop reccurrence of such violations.

Maintain a spot assurance program to ensure that the Company is in compliance with HSSE Policies at all times.

Provide guidance to staff within the Company on all safety matters.

Stay abreast of Safety regulations in the Sultanate of Oman as they related to the Company's business.

Implementing auditing plans and compliance of the departments to ensure that policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to.

Develop and maintain a document control process to ensure that information flows are properly managed within the Company.

Prepare monthly, quarterly reports as required relating to HSSE and compliance.

Develop and deliver training programs to the Company's employees from time to time in an effort to increase Safety awareness.

Ensure periodic emergency Mock Drills to ensure employees follow standard procedure and regulations and are well trained in case of emergencies.

Formulate, implement, monitor and support, review of health and safety policy and action plans to ensure the contract complies with best practice and legislative requirements.

Promote and develop a health and safety culture which secures effective implementation of policy, procedures and responsibilities.

Manage the arrangements for incident, accident and statutory inspections and enquiries, agreeing and implementing necessary changes.

Produce monthly health & safety update including accident statistics and present findings to HSSE Manager

Undertake regular health and safety inspections and audits of programmed units (with their safety representatives as necessary) and report findings.

Ensure that accidents and near misses are reported and investigated to legislative prescribed standards.

Ensure systems are embedded to support all ISO certification requirement.

Ensure monitoring of PTW at the site.

Respond to any incident/accident.

Monitor the compliance to HSE mandatory training of regional staff and contractors.

Any other task given by reported manager or leader within working field.

Technical Skills:

  • Implementation of ISO 45001.
  • NEPOSH is mandotory
  • Other Certificate will be advantage.
