Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend practical control measures.
- Develop and implement effective HSE training programs tailored to the specific needs of employees and contractors.
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring adherence to local and international standards.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses thoroughly, compiling reports and recommending corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Lead safety audits and inspections, providing actionable insights to management for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE practices into daily operations and project planning.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability within the organization.
- Engage employees in safety initiatives through communication campaigns that promote a culture of safety.
- Stay updated on industry trends and legislative changes to ensure proactive compliance and risk management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE-related inquiries, fostering a positive relationship with regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is essential.
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification is highly preferred to demonstrate industry-recognized competence.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in HSE roles within construction, manufacturing, or oil and gas sectors.
- Experience in conducting HSE audits and familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required, with knowledge of additional languages being a significant asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey safety information.
- Proficient in using HSE management software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to motivate teams towards achieving safety goals.
- A proactive attitude with a strong commitment to fostering a safe working environment for all employees.
