Roles & Responsibilities
(Key tasks and duties for Operations Manager)
Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow, quality service, and compliance with company standards. Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve organizational goals and maximize profitability. Monitor and control budgets, costs, and resource allocation to maintain financial efficiency. Supervise and lead staff across multiple locations, providing training, motivation, and performance evaluation. Ensure all operations meet health, hygiene, and food safety standards in compliance with local regulations. Conduct regular audits to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvement initiatives. Manage supplier relationships, inventory levels, and procurement to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for management decision-making. Develop and execute policies on waste management, cost control, and quality assurance. Handle customer feedback and resolve escalated complaints to maintain high customer satisfaction. Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee development to enhance team capability. Plan and coordinate operational activities for new outlet setups and expansion projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing, finance, and operations alignment.

Coordinate staff scheduling and rotes, and motivate and encourage staff to achieve targets
Ensure standards of hygiene are maintained and that the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations
Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained
Implement and instill in your team company policies, procedures, and ethics
Handle customer complaints and queries implement branded promotional campaigns from head office, including the handling of point-of-sale promotional materials.

Prepare reports and other performance analysis documentation
Attend regular meetings with area managers or head office representatives
Establish relationships with the local community and undertake activities that comply with the company's corporate social responsibility programs

An accomplished and results-driven HSE/Operations and Area Manager with over 19 years of experience in the food, beverage, hospitality, and operations management sectors (p. 1). The ideal candidate has a forward-thinking and customer-oriented approach, with a proven ability to lead teams, implement strategic initiatives, and drive business growth, productivity, and profitability (p. 1). Key Skills & Qualifications: Extensive Experience: More than 19 years of experience with a focus on operations, safety, and management in well-established and startup businesses (p. 1). Leadership and Team Management: A gifted motivator and leader with a strong track record of supervising and coaching teams, hiring staff, and steering them through complex business cycles (pp. 1-2). Strategic and Operational Expertise: Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, process improvement, developing waste control policies, and managing daily operations to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction (pp. 1-2).
