Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer the company HSE program in alignment with regulatory requirements and international Standards.
  • Oversee company HSE programs and legal compliance.
  • Schedule and conduct regular Management HSE walk-throughs / inspections.
  • Manage all project HSE staff (Project HSE Managers, HSE Engineers, HSE Officers).
  • Ensures the Company Offices, Projects operate within Company, Client, and legislative HSE requirements and standards.
  • Ensures the Subcontractors operate within Company, Client, and legislative HSE requirements and standards.
  • Provides interpretation of appropriate HSE legislation as it applies to the company and projects.
  • Reporting and management of project incident investigation reports, including root cause analysis and identification of preventative measures and actions, as per regulatory and company requirements.
  • Coordinate and Participate in HSE external and internal audits.
  • Prepare all tender HSE documentation in coordination with other departments.
  • Support all other Departments within the scope of the function.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • College or university-level OH&S program degree, or equivalent, or a combined level of experience and training; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • ISO trainings are required (9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Advanced knowledge of construction industry best practices, regulatory agency requirements, and industry standards.
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, superiors/managers, clients and other external contacts.
  • An effective coach/supervisor among his staff.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic language is an additional skill.
  • 10 years or more of experience in UAE Construction sector as HSE Manager for main contractor.
