Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols in line with WSP's HSEQ Management System.
Assist the HSE team in monitoring site-level safety practices to ensure compliance with legal and client standards.
Review contractors' HSE documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans prior to work commencement.
Conduct daily site inspections to verify that safety measures are in place before operations begin.
Perform weekly joint HSE inspections with contractors and other inspectors, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
Coordinate and test emergency response plans, ensuring drills are conducted as per schedule and performance criteria.
Follow up on incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
Conduct regular safety audits and reviews across the project site.
Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., PCFC, EHS) as needed.
Prepare and submit monthly HSE reports in collaboration with contractor teams and share with the client.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Health & Safety or a related field.
- Minimum NEBOSH IGC certification is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction HSE roles.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Must be registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) in Health & Safety.

The ideal candidate will be a Saudi national with strong knowledge of HSE regulations and practices.
