Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

General Duties (Applicable to All Levels)

  • Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits across the site.
  • Enforce compliance with Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work systems.
  • Identify unsafe conditions or acts and ensure corrective/preventive measures are applied.
  • Monitor site activities for PPE usage, housekeeping, environmental protection, and hazard control.
  • Participate in safety toolbox talks, inductions, and emergency drills.
  • Maintain accurate documentation: incident reports, inspection records, HSE logs.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

HSE Inspector (Entry to Mid-Level)

  • Conduct daily site safety checks and submit hazard observations.
  • Support the HSE Officer in implementing safety measures.
  • Assist in routine fire and emergency preparedness drills.
  • Ensure proper signage, barricading, and safety control measures are in place.

HSE / HSES Officer (Mid-Level)

  • Implement and monitor project-specific HSE plans and site HSE compliance.
  • Conduct training sessions, safety inductions, and awareness campaigns.
  • Review and approve Method Statements and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
  • Investigate incidents and prepare root cause reports.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure full HSE compliance.
  • Maintain HSE performance KPIs and report trends to HSE Lead.

HSE / HSES Lead (Senior-Level)

  • Lead the HSE team (Officers and Inspectors) and manage daily safety operations.
  • Develop and update HSE strategies, project HSE plans, and legal compliance frameworks.
  • Represent the company in client meetings, audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Lead incident investigations and HSE committee meetings.
  • Monitor environmental sustainability metrics (waste, emissions, noise).
  • Analyze trends in incidents and provide strategic recommendations for prevention.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • In-depth understanding of UAE HSE regulations (OSHAD, DM, Trakhees, ADNOC, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret and apply safety standards on active construction sites.
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in report writing, audits, and HSE management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage high-risk environments.
