Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assigning daily cleaning tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping staff
- Inspecting guest rooms, communal areas, and other facilities for cleanliness and order
- Maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and placing orders when necessary
- Training new housekeeping staff members on cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Handling guest complaints and queries related to housekeeping services
- Ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas of the establishment
- Scheduling shifts for housekeeping staff and managing their attendance
- Regularly reviewing and updating housekeeping policies and procedures
- Participating in the selection of housekeeping staff
We are searching for an experienced, reliable Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee all duties performed by our housekeeping staff.
The Housekeeping Supervisor s responsibilities include assigning tasks to the housekeeping staff, identifying and reporting cases of tardiness, and monitoring cleaning supplies.
You should also inform management of any equipment or furniture in need of repair or replacement and ensure that the housekeeping staff complies with all safety and sanitation policies.
Responsibilities
- Assigning housekeeping tasks to staff and inspecting work to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness are met.
- Scheduling staff shifts and organizing replacements as required.
- Investigating and addressing complaints regarding poor housekeeping service.
- Providing training to the housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and seamless cleaning services.
- Ordering cleaning supplies in accordance with budget.
- Screening housekeeping applicants and recommending promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
- Coordinating with the maintenance team to repair fixtures and furniture in need of fixing or replacement.
- Adhering to safety and sanitation policies and protocols.

Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning.
- Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours.
- Excellent organizational and team management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Degree in hotel management is a plus.
