Roles & Responsibilities

An opportunity has arisen for a Coordinator - Engineer to join the team in Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Coordinate all engineering work requests from other hotel departments and assign them to appropriate technicians.

Maintain and monitor preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules for guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, laundry, HVAC systems, and other hotel equipment.

Track completion of daily maintenance tasks, service orders, and guest complaints through the CMMS or manual logs.

Maintain engineering records including PPM checklists, inspection logs, compliance certificates, and inventory records.

Liaise with external contractors and vendors for service calls, repairs, inspections, and project work.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering, or related field is advantage
  • Minimum 2 4 years experience in hotel engineering operations or engineering administration.
  • Knowledge of hotel facilities and technical systems (HVAC, plumbing, kitchen equipment, elevators, BMS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System); Opera or HotSOS experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
