Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a HiL Test Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing for Battery Management Systems (BMS) to ensure their functionality, safety, and compliance with system requirements. You will analyze requirements, develop detailed test specifications, and execute test cases using HiL platforms and specialized tools.
Responsibilities
Essential skills
- Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing for Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Analyze system requirements to ensure test coverage and alignment with specifications
- Develop detailed test specifications based on functional and safety requirements
- Execute test cases using HiL platforms and relevant tools
- Identify, document, and report defects found during testing
- Retest resolved defects to verify fixes and ensure system stability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test processes and automation

- IBM DOORS (for requirements and test specifications)
- Micronova CARTS & EXAM
- dSpace ControlDesk
- ALM Codebeamer (ticketing system)
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering
- Fluent German (is a MUST) and English.
- General automotive knowledge
- Electric powertrain
- Battery Management System, High-Voltage Battery
- HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) test bench
- Component testing (including requirements, specifications, test execution, evaluation, automation)
- Being interested and enthusiastic about the topic is vital, to ensure a faster ramp-up
- Communication is key, especially during the ramp-up phase
- Being a Team player is key, as we are a large team
