Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee daily workshop operations, including the planning, scheduling, and supervision of all repair, maintenance, and emergency breakdown tasks.

Lead and develop the workshop team by providing technical guidance, training, and ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and timeliness standards.

Manage the comprehensive maintenance program for the fleet, covering preventive, corrective, and predictive activities to ensure vehicle reliability.

Diagnose complex faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and ensure their effective and timely resolution.

Guarantee quality and compliance by verifying all repair work, approving vehicle releases, and ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.

Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs, manage warranty claims, and secure cost-effective solutions for major repairs.

Maintain accurate documentation for all vehicle maintenance history, warranty claims, and workshop activities.

Monitor and control inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables, raising purchase requests and minimizing wastage.

Prepare and analyze reports on workshop performance, costs, and vehicle status for management review.

Manage resources efficiently by controlling usage, tracking lead times with procurement, and ensuring overall cost-effectiveness.

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma or bachelor s degree in mechanical / automotive engineering (or equivalent)

Other Requirements

Valid UAE driving license is preferred.

Availability for 24/7 on-call support for emergencies.

Physical fitness to work in industrial and field environments.

Experience

Minimum 4 6 years of experience in heavy vehicle/fleet maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Hands-on experience with trucks, trailers, and diesel engine systems.

Strong knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles, engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and fleet management practices.

Ability to use diagnostic tools and maintenance management software.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and scheduling.
