Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Transport goods safely and efficiently over long distances, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck, noting and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
- Maintain accurate logbooks of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery schedules, adhering strictly to regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
- Follow all road safety protocols and traffic laws, demonstrating a high level of responsibility and safety awareness.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional courses in logistics or transportation are a plus.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; endorsements for specific vehicle types are desirable.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience driving heavy trucks in a commercial setting, preferably in long-haul transport.
