Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Head of Sales – Electrical to lead and expand our electrical sales division in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Qatar market, solid experience in managing sales teams, developing business with principal manufacturers, and strong exposure to project sales, Retail - Traders Markets, including MEP contractors, consultants, and government entities.

The role demands strategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on sales acumen to drive sustainable growth, build strong client relationships, and manage key supplier partnerships in the electrical domain.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the electrical division aligned with company goals.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new market opportunities and expanding existing client base.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to adapt sales approaches.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of technical and commercial offers for large-scale electrical projects.

2. Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Set clear KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Conduct training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

3. Market Development (Qatar Focus)

  • Maintain and grow relationships with key stakeholders including MEP contractors, consultants, government entities, and private developers.
  • Proactively engage in tendering processes, pre-qualification, and technical submittals.
  • Ensure strong follow-up on ongoing projects and sales pipelines.

4. Principal/Supplier Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for international principal manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Develop joint business plans, sales forecasts, and market development activities with principals.
  • Coordinate technical training, seminars, and promotional events with principal partners.

5. Project & Channel Sales

  • Manage complete sales cycle from lead generation to order fulfillment for electrical projects.
  • Oversee sales to different segments: project sales, wholesale/distribution, and key accounts.
  • Ensure timely project execution support by coordinating with internal departments (logistics, finance, technical).

6. Budgeting & Reporting

  • Prepare annual sales budgets, forecasts, and monthly/quarterly performance reports.
  • Analyze sales data and generate actionable insights for senior management.
  • Monitor gross margins, pricing strategies, and profitability of the electrical division.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)

Experience:

  • 10–15 years of experience in electrical product/project sales
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role in Qatar is a must
  • Proven experience dealing with contractors, consultants, and government sectors in Qatar
  • Hands-on experience with principal manufacturers specially in Lightings (e.g., Schneider, ABB, Siemens, Legrand, Philips etc.)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and project requirements
  • Strong network and relationships within the Qatar construction, Retail Lighting and MEP industry
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and technical bidding processes

Language:

  • Fluent in English (Arabic knowledge is an advantage)

Preferred Candidates:

  • Candidates currently based in Qatar or with recent Qatar experience
  • Valid Qatar Driving License is a plus
  • Candidates with transferable visa or NOC preferred
