Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the Commercial Head – Contract Logistics is to spearhead business development and direct sales efforts for GCC Transportation, Distribution , and Warehousing. This role will focus on securing direct customer business, building a robust pipeline, and leading a dynamic sales team dedicated to scaling ATS’s Contract Logistics footprint across the GCC.

The role entails deep engagement with potential clients, industry networks, and internal stakeholders to

ensure growth, customer satisfaction, and sustainable market presence.


Role and Responsibilities

Business Development & Strategy

- Develop and execute commercial strategies to secure direct business from customers in GCC Road Transportation,

Distribution, and Warehousing.

- Build a high-performing sales team under your leadership; hire, train, and manage a team aligned to business

objectives.

- Identify and win large-volume and high-margin accounts by offering tailored end-to-end logistics solutions.

- Collaborate with internal product heads (Transportation, Warehousing, Distribution) to build unified service

propositions.

- Track market trends and customer feedback to adapt and refine go-to-market strategy.

- Present ATS’s capabilities to large enterprise customers, conduct roadshows, and lead client presentations and

negotiations.

- Forge strategic partnerships to strengthen ATS’s reach in targeted verticals including FMCG, retail, and

manufacturing.


Team Building & Management

- Design and implement a sales org structure to cover key geographies in GCC.

- Set KPIs for team members and track performance periodically.

- Coach, mentor, and motivate the sales team to exceed targets.


Commercial Operations

- Work with the pricing and solutions team to deliver accurate and competitive quotes.

- Drive digital adoption in customer acquisition and sales tracking using CRM and analytics tools.

- Monitor gross margin performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

- Ensure alignment between operational delivery and customer expectations.


Client Relationship Management

- Act as the commercial face of ATS for Contract Logistics offerings.

- Maintain senior-level relationships with key accounts.

- Oversee issue resolution and ensure high NPS and retention scores.


Market Intelligence

- Conduct regular market intelligence to benchmark against competitors.

- Identify white spaces and sectors underserved by competitors for immediate pursuit.

- Regularly engage with business councils, logistics forums, and trade associations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.

- 10–15 years of relevant commercial experience, especially in Contract Logistics.

- Proven track record of building customer base in GCC Road Freight, Distribution, and Warehousing.

- Prior leadership experience in building and scaling sales teams in a 3PL environment.


Competencies

- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

- Excellent leadership and team development capabilities.

- Deep knowledge of GCC logistics markets and regulatory landscape.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive growth targets.


This position would report to the CEO


UAE Experience mandatory

Freight forwarding experience is mandatory
