Head of FI Business Development, Syndications and Trading Desk

Key Responsibilities:

Syndications:

• Originate, structure, and execute syndicated loan transactions across corporate, project, and structured finance.
• Lead end-to-end syndication processes, including investor engagement, documentation, and closing.
• Collaborate with Corporate Banking, Credit, and Legal teams to ensure sound deal structuring and risk assessment.
• Maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and international Financial Institutions (FIs) to support syndication and distribution.

Trading Desk Oversight:

Manage trading activities in:

• Corporate & FI Trade Finance Assets: Including receivables, letters of credit, bills of exchange, and forfaiting.
• Loan Assets: Primary and secondary trading of bilateral and syndicated loans.

Develop and implement trading strategies aligned with market conditions and risk appetite.

Monitor credit, market, and liquidity risks, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory frameworks.

FI Relationship Management and business development:

• Act as a key point of contact for Financial Institutions in relation to asset distribution, co-lending, and risk-sharing.
• Driving Financial Institutions (FI) business development through primary trade finance transactions, risk participation agreements (MRPAs), and trade loan structures.
• Coordinate with the broader FI team to align trading and syndication strategies with institutional objectives.
• Represent the bank in syndication networks, investor forums, and industry events.

Leadership & Strategy:

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of syndication and trading professionals.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the Group Financial Institutions CIB Solutions Group.
• Drive innovation in asset distribution, secondary market development, and structured finance solutions.
