Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job brief:
The Head of EHS is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company s Environment, Health, and Safety strategy to ensure a safe, sustainable, and compliant workplace across all Linah Farms Group operations.
This role provides strategic direction, technical expertise, and leadership to drive a proactive EHS culture aligned with business goals and local/international regulations.
- Guide, Lead and develop Occupational Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Management System across Linah Group companies & farms to ensure prioritization in organizational strategic plans and its compliance with all relevant regulations & legislations.
- Guiding and leading the development and implementation of EHS Standard Operating Procedures & Safe Working Practices & programs in collaboration with key stakeholders in Linah Group.
- Set, Assign & Cascade annual EHS objectives and KPIs that drive culture and enhance functional and business performance improvement for the company.
- Owning & Managing EHS budget, ensuring CAPEX/OPEX based Expenses are included in the scope of operation changes and development projects across different operational sectors.
- Championing environmental sustainability programs based on environmental impact assessments and periodic environmental measurements to reduce emissions and utilities consumption in Linah Group s companies & farms.
- Championing and managing development and implementation of emergency response capabilities, crisis Management and business continuity plans to support unplanned or potential events that may negatively impact business operations, environment, or occupational safety.
- Oversee and guide the implementation of EHS investigation tools for objective analysis of nonconformance, risk identification and corrective/preventive actions implementation.
- Manage EHS strategies to ensure compliance of Linah Group with international standards requirements (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, IFC, WBG, EBRD, NFPA) and ensure ISO certifications are attained & renewed.
- Develop, and present to Linah Group Top Management statistics and reports on work related injuries, behavioral risks, hazards and losses identifying trends and planed Long / Short term corrective actions, development plans across Linah Group companies in different locations.
- Deploy robust governance & auditing plans to ensure abidance with EHS Management System and avail the needed resources to close findings / non-conformities arising from workplace inspections and observations.
- Manage the liaison with external bodies including international organizations, accreditation agencies & Governmental authorities to assure compliance with national laws & regulations and international standards
- Lead the EHS Screening procedure for new acquisitions by Linah Group
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
Master s degree or EHS-related postgraduate qualification preferred.
Professional Certifications (Highly Preferred):
- NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
- ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum 10 12 years of progressive EHS experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in agriculture, manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial operations is a plus.
- Strong track record of implementing EHS management systems and achieving measurable improvements in safety performance.
Technical Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of Egyptian EHS legislation and international standards.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, hazard analysis, and incident investigation methodologies.
- Experience in managing sustainability, waste reduction, and energy conservation programs.

- Reduction in total recordable incident rate (TRIR).
- Compliance audit scores and closure of corrective actions.
- Environmental impact reduction (waste, water, energy).
- EHS training completion rates.
- Employee engagement and participation in safety programs.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
