Head of Development / Engineering Manager

We re looking for a highly technical and hands-on Engineering Manager / Head of Development to lead and grow our talented development team at webkeyz.

This is not a purely managerial role we re looking for someone who can still roll up their sleeves, own complex architectures, and drive delivery at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the development team across web and mobile platforms (Frontend, Backend, and Mobile).
• Provide technical leadership and support in architecture decisions and implementation guidance.
• Ensure high-quality code, performance, scalability, and security in all projects.
• Oversee the planning, estimation, and delivery of software development tasks.
• Mentor and coach engineers, support their growth and performance.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure proper resource allocation and delivery timelines.
• Take full ownership of the engineering roadmap, identifying improvements and technical debt.
• Drive adoption of best practices in software engineering, Agile methodologies, and DevOps processes
• Participate in technical hiring and ensure we re attracting and retaining top-tier talent
• Maintain regular reporting on team performance, capacity, and project progress

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience in full-stack development (React/Angular, Node.js/PHP, Flutter).
• Proven experience managing and mentoring software engineers.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in team utilization, task estimation, and delivery tracking.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and cloud environments (preferably AWS).
• Experience with monitoring, performance optimization, and reliability engineering (SRE).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English communication and presentation skills.
