Overview:

A wonderful, busy family based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a warm, fun, organised, and switched-on Governess to oversee the daily lives of their three school-aged children. All children attend school full-time, and this is a fully staffed household. The role focuses on academic support, routine coordination, travel, and nurturing the overall development of the children.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Governess who loves variety, is confident running a busy household calendar, and enjoys being actively involved in children's lives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic support, school liaison, and homework supervision
  • Manage and coordinate after-school activities and social calendars
  • Travel planning and packing for the children
  • Support day-to-day routines and ensure consistency
  • Liaise with household staff to ensure children’s needs are met
  • Travel with the family when required (international travel involved)
  • Light cooking or baking with the children on occasion
  • Keep up to date with current trends and interests (e.g. TikTok, social media, age-appropriate tech)

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Native English speaker
  • Valid driving licence
  • Positive, proactive, and confident in managing multiple schedules
  • A Governess children genuinely enjoy spending time with
  • Someone who brings energy and fun to the household, while maintaining structure
  • Great communicator with a warm but professional approach
  • Previous experience in a similar high-profile role is essential
  • Open to international travel and flexible with changing plans
