Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Plan, supervise, and interpret geotechnical site investigations (soil, rock, groundwater conditions).
  • Perform geotechnical analyses for foundations, slope stability, retaining walls, ground settlement, and ground improvement methods.
  • Prepare and review geotechnical reports, design calculations, and technical recommendations.
  • Provide engineering input for deep/shallow foundations, piling, earthworks, and soil-structure interaction.
  • Ensure geotechnical designs comply with international codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, and construction teams for design integration and execution.
  • Evaluate geotechnical risks and provide mitigation measures to ensure safe and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Support tendering activities by reviewing technical specifications, BOQs, and subcontractor submissions.
  • Conduct site inspections during construction to verify geotechnical compliance and resolve technical issues.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients for geotechnical approvals and clarifications.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering (master’s degree in Geotechnical/Soil Mechanics will be an advantage).
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering for civil and infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, or heavy foundations).
  • Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, ground improvement, and geotechnical design software.
  • Familiarity with UAE soil conditions and geotechnical practices is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced project environment.
