Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct subsurface investigations to assess soil properties and behavior, ensuring accurate data for design and construction.
  • Analyze geotechnical data and provide recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and earth retaining structures.
  • Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, presenting complex findings in an understandable format for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers and project managers to integrate geotechnical insights into overall project planning and execution.
  • Utilize advanced geotechnical software for modeling and simulation, enhancing the accuracy of project assessments.
  • Oversee field testing and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations during data collection.
  • Evaluate environmental impacts of geotechnical projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to subsurface conditions and propose mitigation strategies for potential geotechnical hazards.
  • Stay updated on advancements in geotechnical engineering practices and technologies to improve project outcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in geotechnical investigations and analysis, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
