Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly GL activities, journals, and accruals, perform balance sheet reconciliation and analytical reviews.
- Participate to the monthly, quarterly, and yearly IFRS close process.
- Perform accounting analysis for cash accruals, account payables, account receivables, reconciliations and foreign exchange.
- Provide appropriate accounting information to customers when needed.
- Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries.
- Analyze and perform foreign currency exchanges.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and revenue accounts.
- Review financial reports to identify and explain variances.
- Follow documentation retention policy to maintain accounting files.
- Prepare cash flow statements and resolve outstanding balancing issues.
- Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support decision-making purposes.
- Assist with Statutory Financial Statements preparation as well as direct tax filings and underlying information for VAT returns payment and filing.
- Active support in internal and external audit activities and help with timely remediation of any findings or follow up items.
- Ensure compliance with the company policies and other control procedures.
- Perform ad hoc cross functional projects as requested.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial experience in a multinational environment with at least 2 years in similar role.
- Good knowledge of Saudi Arabia statutory requirements and IFRS/SOCPA as well as direct and indirect tax
- Experience working in a Trading.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong general understanding of ERP systems required
- Must be able to meet the deadline for month-end close and year-end close.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Driven, able to work independently in an efficient manner and keen to take on new responsibilities
- Pro-active, team player oriented, reliable, and hands-on approach
- Willingness and ability to recognize and adapt to changing business requirements
- Fluent in Arabic and English, both verbal and written
Education
- Bachelor of Accounting degree or equivalent required.
