Job Purpose:

To carry out cargo, baggage, and equipment handling tasks across airside or terminal locations, ensuring safe, timely, and customer-focused service as per operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Routine Operations (25%)

• Load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail at terminals, aircraft, and carts.
• Assist passengers by moving trolleys, oversized luggage, and strollers.
• Deliver courteous service at designated airport zones.

2. Core Duties (50%)

• Adhere to safety protocols and always wear PPE.
• Use handheld terminals (HHT) or other digital devices for scanning and task tracking.
• Segregate, stack, and secure items inside aircraft holds or ULDs as per loading instructions.
• Conduct build-up and breakdown of pallets, handle lashing, plastic covering, and count items.
• Ensure aircraft nets and locks are properly in place.
• Operate luggage wrapping machines and manage billing/token systems as required.
• Handle airline documentation, stationary, and materials at various checkpoints.

3. Health, Safety & Environment Compliance (25%)

• Attend toolbox talks and safety trainings regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness at work sites and report any hazards.
• Ensure consistent punctuality and zero unauthorized absences.

4. Performance Metrics:

• Achieve target loading/unloading rates
• Maintain 95%+ scan accuracy
• Zero attributable service failures
• 100% compliance with safety and PPE use
• No customer complaints related to baggage or cargo handling
