The General Dentist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing overall oral health needs of patients, including routine check-ups, restorative treatments, and preventive dental care. The role involves providing high-quality dental services in compliance with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities-

Clinical Duties

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and treat dental conditions such as caries, gum disease, and infections.
• Conduct restorative and preventive procedures, including fillings, extractions, crowns, bridges, scaling, and polishing.
• Administer local anesthesia safely and effectively.
• Take, read, and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
• Manage dental emergencies promptly and efficiently.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records following DHA documentation standards.

Clinical Operations & Safety

• Ensure compliance with DHA infection control and sterilization protocols.
• Maintain and calibrate dental equipment in coordination with dental assistants.
• Monitor inventory and report supply needs to the clinic manager.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Patient Care & Communication

• Build strong relationships with patients through professional and empathetic communication.
• Deliver patient-centered care in a multicultural environment.
• Manage patient expectations and address concerns or complaints professionally.
