Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations including preparing financial statements, ensuring accurate reporting, and complying with all financial regulations. You will play a vital role in the day-to-day financial management of our company by analyzing financial data, maintaining accurate financial records, and facilitating successful audits. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and contribute to strategic planning. Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
  • Analyze financial data and generate financial forecasts and projections.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local financial legal requirements.
  • Provide support for budgeting and forecasting exercises for department heads.
  • Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting processes.
  • Monitor and report financial performance to senior management regularly.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or financial roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial data.
