As a General Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information. You will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining general ledgers, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your analytical skills and detail-oriented approach will help in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing management with valuable insights to make informed decisions. Additionally, you will be involved in monitoring and managing financial transactions, ensuring proper internal controls, and facilitating audits. Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports according to accounting standards.
• Manage and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts regularly.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to guide decision-making.
• Conduct periodic variance analyses to identify discrepancies and suggest improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits to provide necessary documentation.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing.
• Maintain fixed asset ledger and monitor depreciation schedules effectively.
• Facilitate month-end and year-end close processes in a timely manner.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy in submissions.
• Develop and implement efficient accounting procedures to improve workflow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience as a General Accountant or in a similar role is necessary.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills to interact with various departments and stakeholders.
