As we expand, we are seeking a skilled Gelcoat Finisher to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring the flawless finish of our marine products by applying and perfecting gelcoat surfaces on our luxury houseboats and floating structures.

Job Summary:
The Gelcoat Finisher will be responsible for applying, repairing, and finishing gelcoat on fiberglass surfaces. You will ensure that all finishes meet the highest standards of quality and durability, contributing to the premium look and feel of our luxury marine products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply gelcoat to fiberglass components and ensure smooth, high-quality finishes.
• Perform gelcoat repairs, including sanding, polishing, buffing, and color matching to achieve a seamless finish.
• Inspect surfaces before and after gelcoat application to ensure no defects or imperfections.
• Mix and prepare gelcoat materials according to project specifications and industry standards.
• Ensure proper curing of gelcoat and perform touch-ups as needed to achieve a flawless surface.
• Maintain and operate all equipment used in gelcoat application, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure gelcoat work aligns with design and quality standards.
• Perform quality checks throughout the gelcoat process, making adjustments or corrections when necessary.
• Follow all safety protocols and industry standards to ensure safe handling of materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of gelcoat materials used and time spent on each project.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Gelcoat Finisher or similar role in the marine or automotive industries.
• Strong knowledge of gelcoat application, repair, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to color match and blend gelcoat for seamless repairs.
• Proficiency in using sanding, polishing, and buffing tools and equipment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and specifications.
• Good physical stamina, as the role involves standing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for working with chemicals and tools.
