Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain diverse plant species, ensuring optimal growth through appropriate watering, pruning, and fertilization techniques.
- Design and implement innovative garden layouts that enhance aesthetic appeal while considering local climate and soil conditions.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify pests and diseases, applying eco-friendly treatments and preventative measures to safeguard plant health.
- Manage garden tools and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safe usage to maximize efficiency and longevity.
- Collaborate with landscape architects and clients to fulfill specific gardening requests and project goals, maintaining open communication throughout the process.
- Keep detailed records of plant care schedules, growth progress, and environmental conditions to inform future gardening strategies.
- Implement sustainable gardening practices, including composting and rainwater collection, to promote environmental stewardship.
- Assist in selecting and sourcing high-quality plants, seeds, and materials from reputable suppliers to ensure a thriving garden.
- Provide educational support to clients or community members about gardening techniques, plant care, and environmental conservation.
- Participate in seasonal garden clean-ups and maintenance tasks to prepare the landscape for changing weather conditions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Background or hands-on experience in horticulture.
- Ability to identify and care for various plants, soil types, fertilizers, and plant diseases.
- Any nationality accepted.
- Prior villa or estate gardening experience preferred.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Accommodation provided.
- Weekly day off.
GENERAL CRITERIA FOR ALL POSITIONS
- Must have relevant experience within villas, estates, or the hospitality sector.
- Must communicate effectively in English.
- Must be willing to reside within the villa premises on a live-in basis.
