Role Summary
First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking an experienced FX and Rates Trader to join its Global Markets division in Dubai. This role focuses on active market-making and risk management across G10 currencies and interest rate products, with a core objective of driving revenue from customer flow and strategic trading. You will be responsible for pricing, positioning, and enhancing product offerings while collaborating with internal teams to expand FAB s market presence and competitiveness.

What You ll Do

* Manage trading activity across G10 FX and interest rate products such as IRS, XCCY basis swaps, FX spot and forwards, cash treasuries, and futures
* Report directly to the Head of FX and Rates G10+Asia, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
* Deliver macro trading strategies and monetize client flows to exceed desk revenue targets
* Collaborate with quant and technology teams to calibrate pricing and valuation models
* Generate daily pricing for internal and external clients, ensuring responsiveness and accuracy
* Create trade ideas, market commentary, and tactical positioning updates for the Sales team
* Work with Distribution to expand customer engagement and execute structured client deals
* Monitor and stay within assigned risk, stop-loss, and counterparty limits
* Contribute to the ongoing development of pricing frameworks, curve construction, and system enhancements
* Explore new product opportunities and recommend enhancements aligned with global market best practices

Candidate Requirements

* Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline; Master s degree preferred
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in FX and Rates trading in global markets
* Strong knowledge of G10 currencies, FX derivatives, and interest rate instruments
* Excellent risk management capabilities and experience managing complex positions
* Familiarity with compliance regulations, market structure, and trading platforms
* Hands-on experience with Murex and proficiency in Excel (including VBA and macros)
* Strong interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to manage high-pressure environments
