Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interior designers and clients to refine designs and incorporate feedback into final products.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to uphold high standards and client satisfaction.
- Operate and maintain a variety of woodworking machinery, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Select and source appropriate materials, considering factors such as durability, cost, and environmental impact.
- Interpret blueprints and design specifications accurately to translate client visions into tangible products.
- Utilize advanced woodworking techniques including joinery, laminating, and veneering to create durable furniture structures.
- Craft high-quality furniture pieces tailored to specific client requirements, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
- Finish furniture pieces using stains, paints, and sealants, paying attention to detail for a polished look.
- Manage inventory and supplies efficiently to minimize waste and streamline production timelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and tools to continuously improve craftsmanship and business practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent; a vocational certificate in carpentry or woodworking is highly desirable.
- Demonstrates proficiency in operating CNC machines, with experience in programming and machine setup.
- Exhibits a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in furniture carpentry or a related woodworking field.
- Holds certifications in relevant areas such as CNC operation, woodworking safety, or specific tool usage.
- Showcases a strong understanding of various wood types, their properties, and appropriate applications.
- Demonstrates strong technical skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Possesses excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine malfunctions and production issues.
- Exhibits strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
- Exhibits physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials, with a commitment to workplace safety.
- Demonstrates effective communication and teamwork skills, collaborating seamlessly with colleagues and supervisors.
