Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Build and optimize back-end systems using technologies such as Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), PHP, or Java, and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL like MySQL, MongoDB).
- Integrate e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento) with custom features for inventory management, payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal), and user authentication.
- Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of high-traffic e-commerce websites.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments.
SEO & E-Commerce Marketing Duties
- Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve organic search visibility, including on-page optimization, keyword research, content strategies, and technical SEO.
- Conduct comprehensive SEO audits, optimizing site structure, metadata, schema markup, and content for e-commerce websites.
- Analyze and report on website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Search Console.
- Create and manage SEO-driven landing pages, product page optimizations, and content marketing strategies to increase traffic and conversions.
- Integrate SEO strategies with e-commerce marketing campaigns, including email marketing, PPC (Google Ads, Facebook Ads), and affiliate marketing.
- Use SEO data to inform website design and user experience (UX) improvements for better engagement and conversion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing tools (e.g., CRM, analytics) align with e-commerce development for seamless performance tracking.
E-Commerce Focused Tasks
- Optimize e-commerce websites for high performance, including mobile optimization, load speed improvements, and conversion funnel enhancements.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in e-commerce, AI-driven personalization, and AR/VR integrations.
- Implement and manage tools like Shopify, WooCommerce, and Magento for seamless e-commerce operations.
- Utilize marketing automation tools (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp) and work with content creators to drive product sales and brand awareness.
- Cross-Functional Duties:
- Bridge the gap between development and marketing by integrating marketing tools (e.g., CRM like HubSpot) with e-commerce systems.
- Stay updated on e-commerce trends, such as mobile optimization, AR/VR integrations, and AI-driven personalization.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for product enhancements and competitive positioning.
- Report on key metrics, such as ROI from marketing campaigns and site performance KPIs.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- 2+ years in full-stack development, with proven projects in e-commerce.
- 2+ years in digital marketing, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in front-end: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ES6+, responsive design (Bootstrap/Tailwind).
- Back-end expertise: Server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby), APIs (REST/GraphQL), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- E-commerce platforms: Hands-on experience with Shopify, BigCommerce, or custom builds.
- Version control (Git) and agile methodologies.
- Marketing Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research, and on-page optimization.
- Experience with digital tools: Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Facebook Ads Manager, SEO tools (SEMrush, Moz).
- Content creation and copywriting for marketing purposes.
- Understanding of e-commerce metrics like cart abandonment, CLV (Customer Lifetime Value), and conversion funnels.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating across teams.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinker with a data-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Google Analytics Certified, HubSpot Inbound Marketing, or AWS Certified Developer.
- Experience with AI/ML for personalized marketing or recommendation engines.
- Portfolio showcasing e-commerce sites and successful marketing campaigns.
