Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
About the Role:
This is a field-first, partner-facing role. You will build and grow a dependable network of cross-border transporters, strengthen relationships with brokers and yard stakeholders, and make sure loads keep moving across key KSA borders. Our control-tower team handles day-to-day tracking and paperwork; you focus on supply growth, demand request fulfillment, on-ground relationships, and stepping in for escalations not daily queue management.
What You'll Do:
- Grow Carrier Supply: Source, qualify, onboard, and retain cross-border carriers (fleets and owner-operators); set clear expectations on service and documentation.
- Build Partnerships: Maintain strong ties with brokers, yards, and clearance partners to reduce delays and smooth handovers at borders.
- On-Ground Presence (Escalations & Audits): Conduct targeted site visits to borders, yards, and customer locations to handle escalations, verify readiness (equipment, safety basics), and ensure our partners follow agreed processes.
- Resolve Issues: Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and the control-tower to recover exceptions (e.g., rejections, weight/axle issues, breakdowns) and keep shipments on track.
- Negotiate & Brief: Agree rates and service terms with carriers; run clear pre-trip briefings and lane orientations.
- Share Market Intel: Provide timely insights on capacity, rates, and border conditions to help pricing and sales plan better.
- Data & Process Hygiene: Keep basic shipment and partner information accurate in our tools; suggest practical improvements to lane playbooks and checklists.
What You'll Need:
- 4 7 years in road freight at a transporter or 3PL, with hands-on GCC cross-border experience.
- Demonstrated carrier acquisition and relationship management you know how to build trust and keep partners engaged.
- Practical understanding of border procedures, permits, and common documentation; comfortable coordinating with clearance brokers.
- Strong communication in Arabic & English (Urdu/Hindi a plus); confident negotiator.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, TMS/GPS tools, and WhatsApp Business.
- Valid KSA driving license and willingness to travel frequently to borders and sites.
Nice To Have:
- Experience handling temperature-controlled or industrial shipments.
- Familiarity with operating rhythms at major KSA border crossings.
- Familiarity with Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen corridors operations
