Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Purpose
To execute accounting-related activities in line with the established internal controls, procedures, guidelines, and accounting standards at the company.
Strategic Contribution
Identify and provide feedback and suggestions to the finance team related to improvements to SDIC company’s policies, procedures, processes, financial systems, and related programs.
Operational
Related Assignments
Ensures that all transactions are recorded appropriately in line with company’s accounting principles and are properly filed with all supporting documents for future refence.
Ensure timely, accurate and a complete record-keeping of all transactions, including payroll payments
Provide Units/Departments with requested information regarding vendors / customers transactions and / or any other related aspect
Prepares periodic reports e.g. aging analyses, accruals calendars, funds position, etc.
Assists in the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures and ensure compliance with them
Monthly bank reconciliation statements for all banks accounts of the company
Liaisons with banks on all company related matters
Coordinates with various Units/Departments in the matters related to accounting of the company transactions.
Follows up and ensures that the invoicing process is completed in a timely and accurate manner
Assists in responding to audit observations raised by internal and external auditors
Attend to any other related work as will be assigned from time to time
Key Performance Indicators
Timely, accurate and error-free processing and recording of invoices in accordance with contractual terms and conditions for all invoices.
Responsibility and Commitment to support the finance manager and take on most of the day-to-day tasks.
Meeting the required tasks deadlines/projects completion timelines, training and exhibiting the required behavioral attributes as set out by the line manager.
Adherence to SDIC’s set policies and procedures.
