Freelance Data Engineer

Context

Our client, a major banking institution, is looking for a Data Cloud Engineer (Freelance) for a long-term mission to design and deploy secure and efficient data solutions in its cloud environment.

• Duration: Long-term mission.
• Location: France
• D: As much as possible.

Key missions

1. Design & Impl mentation of Data Solutions:
   • Identify and deploy optimized data architectures for access, security, performance and compliance in the banking sector.
   • Integrate open-source standards (Apache Iceberg) into cloud platforms.
2. Data Cloud Platform Management:
   • Leverage AWS services:
     • SageMaker Unified Studio (ML), Redshift (entrep ts), *S3/Athena* (lakes), DataZone (gouvernance).
     • Build LakeHouse solutions.
   • Ensure alignment with financial regulations (GDPR, PSD2).
3. Continuous optimization:
   • Monitor the performance of data pipelines.
   • Document the model architecture and best practices.

Required Profile

• Mandatory Certifications (one of the two):
  • AWS : Certified Data Engineer Associate.
  • GCP : Professional Data Engineer.
• Expertise Technique :
  • Ma trise av r e des services data AWS (SageMaker, Redshift, S3, Athena, DataZone).
  • Experience with LakeHouse architectures and open-source standards (Apache Iceberg).
  • Knowledge of data issues in the bank (security, audit, compliance).
• Soft Skills :
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
  • Rigor in documentation and compliance with standards.
