Freelance / Consultant Physiotherapist

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced freelance or consultant physiotherapist to support our multidisciplinary team in an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) setting. The role involves working with children and adolescents with developmental delays, motor impairments, or neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., Autism, ADHD). The therapist will assess, plan, and implement individualized physiotherapy programs that complement the client s behavioral and developmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess gross motor, postural, balance, strength, and coordination skills of children and teens referred by the ABA team.

• Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy plans tailored to each client s needs and therapy goals.

• Collaborate with BCBAs, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and ABA therapists to align physiotherapy goals with behavioral and developmental plans.

• Monitor progress and adjust therapy interventions accordingly.

• Provide consultation and guidance to the ABA team and caregivers regarding mobility, posture, and adaptive physical strategies.

• Maintain accurate session documentation and progress reports.

• Participate in team meetings or parent consultations when needed.

• Educate caregivers and staff on movement strategies, safe handling techniques, and physical activity programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master s degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with children or adolescents with developmental or neurobehavioral needs

• Prior experience in multidisciplinary settings, ideally with ABA teams

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred:

• Experience with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder

• Familiarity with sensory-motor integration or neurodevelopmental therapy approaches

• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus
