Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed design drawings, calculations, and layouts for formwork, falsework, shoring, and scaffolding systems.
  • Review project specifications, structural drawings, and construction methodologies to determine temporary works requirements.
  • Ensure all designs comply with international standards (e.g., EN, BS, OSHA) and local regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and on-site support to project teams during installation and dismantling.
  • Conduct structural analysis to verify load capacities, stability, and safety factors of temporary works.
  • Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation related to formwork and scaffolding.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and suppliers to optimize solutions for safety and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and supplier designs when applicable.
  • Support in training site staff on safe erection and dismantling procedures.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and temporary works codes of practice.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 0 2 years of experience in formwork, scaffolding, or temporary works design
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis and temporary works design principles.
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, Robot, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver within deadlines.
