Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of rebar installation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers to interpret blueprints and ensure accurate implementation of rebar layouts.
- Supervise and train laborers and apprentices in rebar tying techniques and safety protocols to enhance team performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe environment.
- Manage material inventory for rebar supplies, ensuring timely procurement and minimal waste on-site.
- Maintain detailed reports of daily activities, including labor hours, material usage, and any incidents that occur.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and project timelines are met.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure rebar work meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Assist in resolving conflicts or issues that arise on-site, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in construction management or engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in rebar installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings specific to rebar construction.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Excellent leadership skills to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of resolving on-site issues quickly and efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control, ensuring all rebar work meets industry standards.
