Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all foreign procurement activities for manufacturing operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure optimal pricing and quality.
  • Monitor and analyze global market trends to identify new sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export laws, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as production, logistics, and finance to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of purchase orders, shipping documents, and customs clearance paperwork.
  • Resolve issues related to shipment delays, quality discrepancies, or supplier performance.
  • Track and report on key procurement metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Implement best practices in procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainable manufacturing operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in foreign procurement or international sourcing within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of negotiating with international suppliers and managing complex procurement projects.
  • Strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics, import/export regulations, and customs procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
