Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- System Assessment and Analysis:
- Conduct detailed evaluations of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, energy savings, and cost reductions.
Strategic Optimization:
- Develop long-term plans for equipment upgrades, retrofits, and replacements to enhance system reliability and lifespan.
- Create and implement maintenance schedules aligned with organizational goals.
Technical Advisory:
- Provide expert recommendations and innovative solutions for complex mechanical challenges.
- Ensure all designs and systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and codes.
Project Leadership:
- Oversee projects related to mechanical system improvements, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
Risk Mitigation:
- Perform risk assessments on mechanical systems to identify potential operational disruptions.
- Develop preventive strategies and emergency response plans to minimize risks and downtime.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Implement systems for tracking the performance and efficiency of mechanical operations.
- Conduct audits, analyze data, and prepare reports highlighting areas for further enhancement.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with facility managers, engineers, and executives to align improvements with organizational priorities.
- Deliver clear presentations and technical documentation to support decision-making processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience in facilities management or consulting with a focus on mechanical systems.
- Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, and related mechanical disciplines.
- Proficient understanding of industry standards such as SFG-20, NFPA, CIBSE, Saudi Building Code, and ASHRAE.
- Demonstrated ability to review technical documents and provide actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and solve complex mechanical challenges.
- Exceptional project management skills, including planning, organizing, and execution.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining compliance and ensuring system integrity.
