Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fleet Operations Management:
- Supervise daily dispatch and recovery operations, ensuring timely, efficient, and safe roadside assistance services.
- Monitor and maintain fleet vehicles, overseeing regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in accordance with industry standards.
- Implement best practices in fleet utilization, fuel management, and cost control.
2. Team Leadership and HR Compliance:
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of recovery drivers, ensuring all HR policies, performance metrics, and compliance standards are upheld.
- Collaborate with HR to align staffing needs, professional development initiatives, and performance review criteria.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, safety, and customer service excellence.
3. Contract Acquisition and Business Development:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new contracts and partnership opportunities to expand the recovery service client base.
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurance companies, roadside assistance networks, corporate fleets, and other key stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making and pricing models.
4. Financial and Budget Oversight:
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost effectiveness while meeting service quality standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet operations and contract acquisitions, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Extensive experience (5+ years) in fleet management, logistics, or automotive recovery services preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and standard maintenance protocols.
- Leadership Abilities: Strong team management, communication, and decision-making skills. Experience leading diverse operational teams is a plus.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated success in developing new business and managing vendor or client relationships.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of industry regulations, safety standards, and HR compliance requirements.
