Job Description

The Fleet & Logistic Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the effective operational flow of a company's fleet operations. This role is essential in ensuring that all logistical aspects concerning fleet management, including vehicle maintenance, dispatching, and cost management, are handled efficiently and effectively. The coordinator ensures that transportation activities are executed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with company policies as well as transport regulations. Strategic planning and problem-solving skills are vital in this role to maintain smooth operation processes, and ensuring the safety of the fleet and team members is paramount. The Fleet & Logistics Coordinator will work closely with various departments to improve service delivery and drive optimal fleet performance that aligns with the organizational goals.


Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of fleet operations and logistics processes.
  • Monitor and manage fleet expenses to ensure budget adherence and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure the maintenance schedule is adhered to for all company vehicles.
  • Collaborate with various departments to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics for fleet operations.
  • Ensure fleet operations comply with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers.
  • Respond promptly to operational issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and licensing documents.
  • Supervise dispatchers and coordinate their daily logistics activities.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet productivity.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in fleet management or logistics coordination.
  • Solid understanding of logistics and fleet management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills for effective operational oversight.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage teams effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
