Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Fish Farm Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our aquaculture facility. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of fish farming, including feeding, water quality monitoring, harvesting, and staff supervision. The role requires technical knowledge of aquaculture practices, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain healthy stock and efficient farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities related to fish breeding, rearing, and harvesting.
  • Monitor and maintain water quality parameters (temperature, pH, oxygen levels, salinity, etc.) to ensure optimal fish health.
  • Oversee daily feeding schedules and ensure proper nutrition and feed management.
  • Inspect ponds, tanks, and filtration systems for cleanliness and operational efficiency.
  • Record and maintain data on fish growth, mortality rates, and production performance.
  • Manage farm workers, assign tasks, and ensure compliance with farm safety and hygiene standards.
  • Identify and treat fish diseases in coordination with veterinarians or aquaculture specialists.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment such as aerators, pumps, and filters.
  • Assist in planning and executing stocking, harvesting, and sales operations.
  • Report production results, maintenance needs, and operational issues to management regularly.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, or Agriculture preferred.
  • Minimum 3 5 years of experience in fish farming or aquaculture management.
  • Strong knowledge of fish species, breeding techniques, and water management systems.
  • Familiarity with disease control, biosecurity, and feed management.
  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying environmental conditions.
  • Basic computer literacy for record keeping and reporting.
