Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst to join our finance team on a temporary basis. The role will focus on delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting budgeting processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP & IFRSs, and contributing to internal control (ICOFR) and audit requirements.
This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and review quarterly, half-yearly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP & IFRSs in all financial reporting.
- Support annual budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to regulatory authorities and management.
- Collaborate with external auditors during statutory audits and interim reviews.
- Maintain and update the Risk Control Matrix (ICOFR) and coordinate testing of internal controls.
- Develop ad-hoc financial models and reports to support decision-making.
- Support investor relations activities, including regulatory communications (Arabic language support).
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional certifications preferred (CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a similar industry.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial principles (US GAAP & IFRSs).
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, statistical/analytical methods, and ability to use data for decision-making.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools and MS Excel.
Skills & Competencies
- Bilingual – Arabic & English (required).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Other Details
- Contract Duration: 3 months (temporary role).
- Industry Experience: Preference for candidates with prior experience in the same or similar industry.
- Location: Based in Doha, Qatar (candidates must be available immediately or on short notice).
